Make A Difference Fund
Every year The Children's Foundation sends an appeal letter to our donors to raise funds for the Make A Difference Fund. Make A Difference Fund is the financial resource to assist financially disadvantaged client families with urgent needs such as food, housing, clothing, transportation, utilities, and childcare.
By utilizing emergency funds in urgent situations, The Children's Foundation can help families resolve issues that might otherwise overwhelm the families and interfere with their ability to participate in the programs and services provided. The following chart shows how the Make A Difference Funds have been used during the past year:
On behalf of recipient children and families, we deeply appreciate the generous donations from our donors who made this Make A Difference Fund available for families this past year.
Our donors truly help make a difference in improving the lives of children in our community. They know that 100% of the money they donate goes directly to helping children and families.
We would like to invite you be part of making a difference in the lives of children and families. If you would like to have your name added to our donor list and receive a letter for our annual appeal or have any questions about the Make A Difference Fund, please contact Ethel Chik at email@example.com.
By the way, you do not have to wait to make a donation you can also donate now by clicking the button at the top of this page. Also, a number of our donors have set up monthly contributions this same button.
We hope you will join us in making better lives for children.
Horse Power is about building skills of confidence, empathy and understanding through equine assisted learning. Using trained therapy horses and under the watchful eye of certified equine assisted learning instructors from Town and Country Equestrain and horses from Southlands Stables, children are provided with the unique experience to develop horse care skills.
Caring for a horse helps build social, emotional and educational skills through the trusting and respectful interactions with a horse. It helps to elevate a child's self-worth and confidence in themselves. It develops skills of understanding and empathy by learning to to read, understand and respond to the needs of the horse.
